Collectively, the hospitality and tourism industries are the largest industry in the world economy and the primary industry in most of the Pacific basin. There is a continuing and growing demand in this industry for persons with a broad range of academic and professional skills.

Career Opportunities
The Hospitality and Tourism Management program is designed to prepare students for postitions of responsibility in hotels, resorts, food service operations, cruise ships, clubs, cultural and recreational attrations, covention and visitor bureaus, and tourism development agencies.
Business Core
The program applies the general principles of business, management, and advanced management cores to specific industry. Close ties with the Polynesian Cultureal Center provide students in this program with a unquue oppurtunity to study and analyze one of the most successful tourist destinations in the world. To earn a bachelors degree, students complete an mini-core, then pursue a program track in either Hospitality Management or Tourism Management.
The following courses must be completed to take 300 level and 400 level classes. Student must maintain a 2.00 average in these courses with at least a C- grade or better. No class required for any School of Business Major may be replaced more than once. In addition, no more than two major classes may be replaced.
